Reasons To Watch Crazy, Stupid, Love
I watched this at the cinema with my sister and we were in tears of laughter. The first few minutes of the film slowly warms up as it sets the scene and explains the general premise of the story.
The film stars Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, the beautiful Julianne Moore and Emma Stone, who also stars in The Help. This is a fantastic ensemble group and they all brought something to the movie. There is a cameo performance from Kevin Bacon, who will also be remembered by me as the original Ren McCormack in the dance filled movie Footloose.
What is Crazy, Stupid, Love About?
This film is basically about a couple who are having problems. The wife decides that she wants a divorce. The film follows how the husband deals with the situation (badly) and how a hot young guy shows him how to move on by helping him to update his image, how to talk to women and how to get a string of dates. This is where hilarity ensues.
There is a secondary story about the hot young guy, played by Ryan. He starts out as a seemingly super confident guy who has one aim in life and that is to hit on as many beautiful women as possible. Then he meets someone who is a little different from the norm. This is unchartered waters for him and we learn how he deals with it.
There is a great twist in the tale and I wasn’t expecting it at all. This made the film even better. So if you want a feel good movie with lots of laughs and times when you will go “aah”, then Crazy, Stupid, Love is for you. Enjoy.
